The Highland Challenge is an annual photographic competition between all the Scottish Photographic Federation clubs based in the Highlands. The competition is hosted by a different club each year with an external judge appointed to score all the entries. 

Each participating club has to submit 10 images, a maximum of two by the same photographer. There are no restrictions as to when the photographs were taken.

Nairn Photographic Society achieved 2nd place in 2022 & 2024 and were the winners in 2023. In 2025 we fell into the pit of complacency, failing to impress the judge, when we came last.
